USS ASHLAND, At Sea - An MV-22 Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, lands on the USS Ashland (LSD-48), Feb. 28. The 31st MEU recently embarked upon the three ships of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) Amphibious Ready Group for the regularly-scheduled Spring Patrol. The 31st MEU is the Marine Corps’ force of choice for the Asia-Pacific region and is the only continuously forward-deployed MEU.
